Over 40 years ago, the late entertainer Danny Thomas envisioned a dream that "no child should die in the dawn of life." He developed a plan and believed that his dream could come true. It is through a collective effort of doctors, researchers, donors and volunteers that this dream is becoming a reality. Supporters of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the Chicagoland area contribute to Danny's dream in many ways. For the past fourteen years, the Annual Dream a Little Dream Fashion Show, benefiting St. Jude, has raised over $1.3 million and annually draws more than 900 guests.

As the hospital continues to progress in its research and treatment of children, physicians and researchers are coming closer to making Danny's dream a reality. Because of the work of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, survival rates for childhood cancers have increased from 20 percent to better than 70 percent overall. In addition, the staff of St. Jude is reaching new heights in medical advances, and scientists are expanding their focus on genetic disorders and international outreach programs. In 40 years, St. Jude has become the single largest center in the United States for the treatment and research of childhood catastrophic diseases such as cancer and pediatric AIDS.

In November 2009, the 15th Annual Dream a Little Dream Fashion Show to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will take place in Rosemont, IL. As we plan and prepare for this big event, we hope you will consider participating in some way. By attending, you will join the strong community of support for the mission of St. Jude. By contributing, you and/or your company will benefit from event promotions and exposure to our guests, and local business women and men from Chicago and surrounding communities. It will also have a significant impact on the treatment of childhood catastrophic diseases worldwide.

There are many ways of participating in this year's event to show your support of St. Jude - becoming a corporate sponsor, donating raffle items, purchasing an ad in the Dream Book event program, and of course, attending the event!
