33% of all online searches for “jobs” now occur on a smartphone or tablet according to a new report released by SimplyHired. 75% of mobile usage occurs on a smartphone and 25% on tablets with 72% of surveyed candidates reporting they want to access company career information from their smartphones and 85% saying they would apply from a mobile device if they could.
Mobile job seekers are more likely to click on top job listings, not going down or through pages to seek additional listings. Searches for jobs peak on Monday and decline through the week. The hour of the day with the most mobile usage is between 8 and 9 p.m.

A lot of companies have a lot of catching up to do in the mobile arena. Only 14% of all Fortune 500 companies have a mobile corporate site and only 28% of those companies have a mobile career section.
