If you snooze, you lose

Like many people, I’m waiting for the full implementation of the Affordable Care Act.  But while I wait, I’m speaking to various job boards and publishers while making certain I know the best social media and job distribution options for my clients to use as part of their Workforce Planning Model.

I base my thoughts on two assumptions – that hospitals will have more patients to serve and the recruitment budget will not increase dramatically.  In other words, continue doing more with less.

Are you prepared?  Have you checked the performance of your internet contracts?  Are there other options, other boards to consider?   Is your employment brand a true one and reflected prominently in your recruitment communications?  Is your career site fully optimized or are your jobs trapped behind a secure server, hidden from the search engines?  Have you spoken with department managers to determine what needs they anticipate regardless of what impact the ACA will have?

Identifying strategic partnerships within your organization’s leadership, in the community, colleges and universities, and professional societies is essential.  So is developing a media plan and knowing what your potential media partners have to offer.    The next few months will be busy ones, good luck.
