Natchez Regional Medical Center laid off 65 employees recently and could let another 30 go. The Chief Executive Officer says the layoffs are necessary to secure the future of the financially struggling hospital. He says hospital employees conducted an extensive study to determine which departments would be cut and seniority was used to determine who was let go. The remaining 30 layoffs won't happen until officials study how departments should be consolidated.
