Joe serves as Director of Media Initiatives in the Innovative Media Services (IMS) Department. Although Joe officially began his career at Shaker in 2000, he spent more than 10 previous summers learning the business by working in all departments within the agency. In 2000, he joined the Innovative Media Services Department, focusing on providing online strategies for Shaker’s leading accounts.
As Director of Media Initiatives, Joe coordinates all aspects of new media initiatives, including marketing, sales, management of technology and creative work. Joe is also responsible for keeping up with the ever-changing digital advertising trends and advising clients on new and unique opportunities. He has helped to successfully launch services including Search Engine Marketing, Behavioral Targeting, and Contextual Advertising. As Shaker’s corporate interface to new media as well as newspaper and online vendors, he helps provide Shaker clients with new offerings and measurable ROI.
Joe is a member of multiple media and HR associations, including NAA, SNA, SHRM, EMA, and ERE. He is heavily involved with many charitable organizations including the Shaker Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Ryno Kid Care. Joe has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
