Challenge
Shaker was asked to create the American version of the Smiths Aerospace brand by providing a new multimedia campaign to complement the Smiths LLC brand. Their request included these objectives:
- Use compelling messaging and design to create a new look and feel
- Educate job seekers about Smiths Aerospace and Grand Rapids, MI
- Provide exceptional functionality for online application interface (for career seekers) and back-end candidate management system (for recruiters)
Solution
The Shaker team wrote and designed a career site from the ground up, making it the centerpiece of the brand launch. The campaign was completed by extending the same look and feel into other media. This effort included:
- A new career site with extremely user-friendly navigation
- Site content that speaks to potential candidates and illustrates the advantages of the Grand Rapids location and community resources
- Innovative back-end technology that works seamlessly with their ATS
- Convenient online application and response-management functions
- Supporting media to extend the brand: banner stands, print ads, and a billboard
Results
- Client is thrilled with the brand, particularly the career site design and functionality
- Generated strong response almost immediately
- Inspired other divisions of Smiths to request that Shaker create career sites for them
