To build a high-caliber team, Smith & Nephew  partnered with Shaker to develop a branded sales-recruitment program in order to:

  • Help Smith & Nephew’s achieve its vision of becoming the brand preferred by active, informed hip and knee patients depends on a best-in-class sales force.
  • These high-caliber professionals must collaborate and consult with surgeons to equip them for a new age in orthopaedic reconstruction

Shaker partnered with Smith & Nephew to develop a branded sales-recruitment program based on the sales career value proposition and “best in class” sales professional profile.

  • Discovery—involving sales leadership discussions and examination of company brand and business goals—gave rise to the “Onward & upward” initiative.
  • This integrated program of recruitment tools positions Smith & Nephew as a destination for superior sales talent.

Results

This initiative seamlessly extends the corporate brand through tools that convey Smith & Nephew’s energy, action, optimism, and sense of purpose. This comprehensive communications package has been instrumental in supporting the seamless integration of sales representatives from a company acquisition, as well as recruiting more than 50 new representatives to the organization.
