Drawing on her skills in branding, writing, and design, Mary helps clients craft authentic, audience-focused communications that foster identity and convey a clear, distinctive image. She has more than 20 years of experience in external and internal communications—with in-house and agency expertise spanning publications, advertising, image building, and public affairs for corporate, education, and not-for-profit organizations. As a senior copywriter and brand specialist at Shaker, she collaborates with clients, account teams, designers, and multimedia artists to develop high-end, branded creative product—including collateral, Internet, multimedia, out-of-home, print, and broadcast. Her projects have involved concept/campaign development, employer branding, and employee communications for Trader Joe’s, Mohegan Sun, Smith & Nephew, Target, DaVita®, Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, CB Richard Ellis, Hospira, sanofi-aventis, and other major clients. She also leads in-house and client workshops on writing engaging, audience-directed copy. Mary has been with Shaker since 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University.
