Winnebago, a leading maker of mobile homes, will close an Iowa factory and eliminate 270 jobs. The facility opened in 2004, a year of recording-breaking sales. The company blames the plant closing on the economy; specifically, high fuel prices, a difficult lending environment, and low consumer confidence.
