Fifty-two coal miners are losing their jobs in layoffs announced recently by Murray Energy Corp.'s subsidiary, UtahAmerican Energy, Inc. UtahAmerican officials told miners recently of the layoffs, which will impact 31 employees at its West Ridge mine, 11 at its Tower mine, five at the Crandall Canyon mine and five more at the Wildcat loading facility where coal is put on trains for delivery to customers.
