Bay Valley Foods, a division of powdered creamer and pickle maker TreeHouse Foods Inc. said it will close its Portland, Oregon pickle plant, cutting 88 employees. The company said pickle volumes have declined, and Portland is its highest-cost and lowest-utilized facility. Current production at Portland will be absorbed by other Bay Valley Foods facilities.
