The Tenneco plant in Cozad has announced that about 135 workers will be laid off. The workers will likely be called back when the strike is over. Tenneco is a $4.4 billion global manufacturing company based in Lake Forest, Ill., with some 19,000 employees worldwide. The Cozad plant has 640 workers. The company designs, manufacturers and distributes automotive emission control and ride control products and systems.
