The editor of The Spokesman-Review newspaper in Spokane, Wash. resigned recently, as the newspaper announced a new round of job reductions and reduced format. He has led news operations since 2002. The Publisher says an additional 60 jobs will be cut, including 25 in the newsroom. That will leave a total of 470 workers. The new page will be the same length as the current page, but will be only about 12 inches wide, instead of the current 13.
