The world's largest steamship company, Maersk Line, is closing a customer service center in Charleston affecting 140 jobs. The company is the largest client for the Port of Charleston and will have just 75 employees in the area when the center closes. Maersk is making the changes to cut costs. Last month the company announced it was cutting 3,000 jobs worldwide.
