The Oklahoman is cutting 150 positions and will offer a voluntary retirement program to veteran employees, the newspaper said recently. The downsizing will be completed soon through retirements and layoffs, the Publisher said. The early retirement offer will apply to longtime employees in the various departments at the newspaper, the states largest. He said he and other executives met recently to discuss early retirement with 102 employees who are at least 55 years old and have worked for the newspaper for 15 years or longer.
