Teleperformance

Less than one year after opening its doors in Brownsville, Teleperformance, a Utah-based call center, has laid off approximately 200 employees from its facility on Boca Chica Boulevard. The layoffs were a result of a decision from one of Teleperformance's clients, an unnamed major telecommunications provider, to "reduce excess capacity." Recently, more than 40 percent of the facility's 500 employees were let go.
