Dallas Independent School District

Approximately 1,100 Dallas school district employees, including 550 teachers, will lose their jobs as the district faces a $84 million shortfall. The layoffs are in addition to 63 office positions that were already eliminated and approximately 100 jobs that will go unfilled. Dallas is the 12th largest school district in the nation.
