Mutual Savings

Decatur will lose up to 100 jobs as a result of a Chicago company's recent purchase of Mutual Savings. Unitrin Inc. announced its plan to acquire Primesco Inc., a holding company for Mutual Savings Life and Mutual Savings Fire, in November. At the time, it said it had not decided what impact the acquisition would have on Mutual Savings employees. Unitrin, based in Chicago, is the parent company of Career Agency Cos. Career Agency operates as the Home Services Division of Unitrin.
