St. Jude Medical will eliminate 200 U.S. jobs, or less than 1.5% of its workforce. The Little CN-based medical device maker said cuts will primarily affect sales, support & service staff. The layoffs will be spread across the U.S. St. Jude did not disclose the number of job cuts in MN, where the it has over 2,200 workers. "The company is focused on maintaining operating discipline & these cuts are a result of spending that was above the level prescribed by our operating plan in the 2nd-Q," it said.
