Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc.

Rising fuel, fertilizer, packaging, and other costs have overrun price increases and resulted in operating losses for Maui Land & Pineapple Co. The Hawaiian pineapple grower will reduce its workforce by 26 percent as it cuts back on operations. The company says it will concentrate on local markets and a handful of select accounts on the mainland.
