Massachusetts General Hospital is eliminating about 200 positions, or 1 percent of its workforce, in a cost-cutting move, hospital management said in a memo to employees. An MGH spokesman said through attrition and reassigning workers within the hospital, the number of people laid off could fall to between 10 and 20.
