Levitz Furniture Corporation

A furniture-industry publication reported that retailer Levitz Furniture will be liquidated, meaning its five stores and one warehouse in Washington state will be closed, with the loss of about 100 jobs. An online report in Furniture Today recently said the New York-based retailer "appears headed for liquidation" after an auction of its assets. Levitz has stores in Bellevue, Lynnwood, Silverdale, Tacoma and Tukwila, in total employing about 60 people. It also operates a regional distribution center in Tukwila employing about 40 people.
