Appliance Park announces layoffs

Layoffs are headed to GE's Appliance Park that will affect salaried workers. A spokeswoman says it is part of reducing costs for 2009. What is known is that less than 100 Louisville workers will be out of a job. GE says the workers will get a year's worth of medical insurance and tuition reimbursement for courses completed within two years.
