Kansas State Department Of Commerce:

Budget overruns will mean layoffs for 75 Commerce Department employees. The state of Kansas is pulling its work force development staff out of El Dorado, Newton, Cowley County and Hutchinson. The state Department of Commerce is moving to eliminate offices and cut staff because the program had exceeded its budget for several years. In all, 75 state employees will be laid off around the state.
