Jewelry Television has announced the elimination of 215 jobs. The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that the home-shopping network reduced its work force at its Knoxville headquarters by 150 and eliminated 65 positions in Nashville recently. Jewelry’s Television CEO and President said in a statement recently the job eliminations were part of a permanent restructuring of the company in an effort to remain competitive and boost profits. The company focuses on sales of fine jewelry and loose gemstones. It employs approximately 2,100 employees in Knoxville and Nashville.
