JAMES HARDIE INDUSTRIES N.V.: Building-materials company James Hardie Industries announced recently that it will suspend its Blandon operations because of the downturn in the housing market. The vice president/ general manager of the northern division of James Hardie said 82 employees will be laid off from the fiber-cement exterior siding plant.
