InfoGroup has cut 40 to 60 people from its Omaha-area payroll. Some of those who lost their jobs worked in a call center and in sales, people familiar with the job cuts said. Others compiled information on businesses that InfoGroup sells to other businesses as lists of sales leads. People who spoke on condition of anonymity said the cuts were at InfoGroup's Papillion technology center. Those who lost their jobs were told slackening sales and slippage in the company's stock price were the reasons, the sources said. Some who inquired about transfers to other areas of the company were told no positions were available.
