First Data Corp. says it will lay off 96 employees at its Daytona Beach location and complete the closing of its call center. Colorado-based First Data, a processor of credit card transactions for financial institutions and merchants, announced in June it was closing the center and laying off its 400 workers. First Data says it did not renew a large client contract and the call volume at the Daytona center was being picked up by other centers. A First Data spokeswoman says she could not disclose details about the contract.
