The owner of the Columbus Dispatch is planning job cuts for a production facility on Columbus' west side that could affect more than 100 workers. Dispatch Printing Co. in a filing with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services posted recently said tentative plans call for work-force reductions for its production operations at 5300 Crosswind Drive beginning soon. Targeted for cuts are 112 workers at the facility, most of whom are machinists or mailers. A Dispatch representative wasn't immediately available to comment further. The company said in the filing that job cuts could take place over a two-week period beginning that day, depending on an arbitration hearing scheduled with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters scheduled later this month. The union represents many of the workers scheduled for job cuts.
