Crane Plumbing LLC: Crane Plumbing LLC, which makes bathroom fixtures, sinks and toilets, filed a notice under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act to close the plant soon eliminating 255 jobs. The 53-year-old facility already has gone through two rounds of layoffs, trimming 65 jobs in September and another 24 on Nov. 1. It is the largest private employer in Hondo. The cost of doing business is driving Crane to shut its plant.
