Commercial Vehicle Group Inc. said recently it plans to close its Seattle manufacturing plant, which makes interior trim for trucks and boats, eliminating 115 jobs. Commercial Vehicle, based in New Albany, Ohio, said work will be consolidated at other company operations in the U.S. The company's clients include truck manufacturers such as Kenworth (which has a manufacturing plant in Renton) and Freightliner, and boat manufacturers such as Bayliner. The decision to close the plant was the result of changing market requirements, including the consolidation of product lines and closer proximity to customer operations, the company said in a statement.
