Lockheed losing jobs

Between Littleton & Sunnyvale, CA Lockheed Martin will eliminate 800 jobs. The space systems section of the aerospace firm will lose the jobs by 2908, repping 4.5% of the workers. Company officials said the move was designed to make the it competitive. Workers losing their jobs will come from all sectors of the space systems div -- technical, managerial, & administrative jobs. Lockheed will offer employees voluntary layoffs. Layoffs are separate from job losses in the space shuttle program.
