Bluegreen Corporation

Bluegreen Corp. is continuing to shed staff, cutting 182 employees in its Orlando sales and marketing operations. The timeshare resort company filed a disclosure with the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation saying it will start laying off employees soon. Bluegreen will close sales offices at 7087 Grand National Drive and 8249 Vineland Ave. in Orlando. Its offices at 12400 S. International Drive, 1701 Park Center Drive and 1743 Park Center Drive will remain open but will have substantial workforce reductions. The company disclosed that staff reductions and sales office closures were part of its plan to slow sales and concentrate on operating its existing resorts. The firm also said in its third-quarter Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it plans to conserve capital.
