Belden Americas Division in Richmond will lay off 80 full-time hourly production employees by the end of the year, the company announced recently. The layoffs represent 17 percent of the company's production work force. The layoffs, will come from the company's manufacturing plant, 350 N.W. N St. Today, the plant employs 460 workers. Belden employs about 900 at the manufacturing plant, at the company's distribution center, 1411 N.W. 11th St., and at its division office, 2200 U.S. 27 S.
