Bank of America Corp. laid off 60 employees recently at its regional campus in Rancho Cordova. The bank made the move for efficiency reasons, consolidating the jobs in other states, said a spokeswoman. The layoffs took place at a call center and a division that provides support for title and appraisal work, she said. The affected employees will have a chance to apply for approximately two dozen openings in Rancho Cordova. The campus employs several hundred workers.

In the third wave of layoffs since May, Cabo Yachts is eliminating 100 positions, bringing the total number of jobs cut in the past five months to about 240, the company said. About 110 workers remain at the plant in one of Adelanto's industrial parks, a spokesman said. The cuts were made to reduce costs in an industry hit hard by a slowing economy. The recent layoffs follow 45 positions cut in mid-August and an additional 49 layoffs reported by the company
