Layoffs at Andersen Corp.'s assembly facility in Stout Technology Park in Menomonie could have a $750,000 impact on the region over the course of the next year, said the interim president of the Dunn County Economic Development Corp. Bayport, Minn.-based Andersen, which manufactures windows and doors, announced recently it was laying off 52 employees at its Menomonie facility, a cut of about 21 percent. Andersen will have 193 employees at the plant following the layoffs, which were effective immediately. The layoffs primarily were in the production and office support staff departments.
