A magazine distribution center in Marion will close next year, resulting in the loss of 193 jobs. Kable Fulfillment Services will close in three phases, with the first job cuts occurring soon. In January, Kable Fulfillment's owner, Amrep Corp. of Princeton, N.J., bought Palm Coast Data, which also served the magazine industry. As a result, Amrep started consolidating the two companies' operations to improve "operating efficiencies and reduce costs." The operation in Marion, about 50 miles north of Columbus, has been around for decades.
