WestJet Says No Cuts, Sticks With Expansion Plans

WestJet Airlines Ltd will not follow Air Canada with capacity and staff cuts to deal with surging fuel costs, an executive with the #2 Canadian carrier said recently. The airline shifts its capacity between domestic and international routes twice a year based on travel patterns, that has kept traffic numbers strong. It has predicted a 16% capacity increase this year.
