Computer and printer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. will cut 2% of its employees, about 6,400 people, to save money. On Tuesday, the company said its profits for the second quarter fell 17% to $1.7 billion. It guessed that its sales will drop 4% to 5% for the full year -- in earlier guesses it had said they would drop between 2% and 5%. PC sales will be particularly hard hit, it expects.
