Last month, 112 CEOs left their posts, decrease of 8.9% from March, reports Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc., a global outplacement consultancy. But CEO departures for the year are up 2.7% with 483 exits through the first 4 months of 2008, compared to 470 CEO departures in the first 4 months a year ago. The majority of April departures were made by health-care CEOs. They were also mainly resignations, the leading cause of CEO departures so far this year.
