Communications products distributor Anixter International Inc. said recently it acquired assets and operations of QSN Industries Inc. and all outstanding shares of Quality Screw de Mexico S.A. Anixter, that distributes wire, cable, fasteners and other small parts for the communications industry, will pay approximately $80M in cash and assume trade liabilities for all the assets and operations of the 2 companies. QSN, which distributes and manufactures fasteners for original equipment manufacturers, operates 13 facilities in AL, AZ, GA, IL, MI, Ohio, SC, TN and TX. Its manufacturing facility is located in Wood Dale. Quality Screw de Mexico, based in Aguascalientes, Mexico, also distributes fasteners and has 5 operational sites in Mexico. Anixter’s President and VEO said the deal acquisition will add 7¢ to 9¢ to earnings a share in the 1st year of ownership.
