In this role, the candidate will work on-site at Seminis Research & Development world headquarters in Woodland, CA. The candidate will be a member of a larger recruiting team working to fulfill major hiring initiatives aligning with the business acceleration strategy, will represent the staffing function in Woodland and work directly with organizational leadership to provide full lifecycle recruitment coordination and consultation. Additionally the candidate will establish and maintain a strong partnership with hiring managers in designated business units to develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract, screen, recruit, and select high quality candidates. The recruiter will also focus on diversity outreach and candidate sourcing nationwide and will work with University Relations group and business leaders to promote employment opportunities with academic leaders, alumni, and students.

The candidate must possess the following traits:

  • Self-motivation, organizational skills, and confidence will be paramount to success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, detail oriented, organized, proactive, and understand the urgency and confidentiality of the recruiting function
  • Passion for the recruiting and sourcing functions with strong experience in candidate development
  • Excellent communication and client management skills while displaying the highest degree of integrity in implementing the industry's best practices (sourcing, recruiting, candidate assessment)
  • Ability to effectively support hiring managers in Research and Development at remote sites.

    Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of full-lifecycle recruiting
  • High volume vacancy management experience
  • Strong communication skills to face with operations leadership and senior level candidates
  • Ability to influence and advise strong, independent thinkers
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Project coordination capabilities
  • Excellent understanding of the Internet as a sourcing tool and other creative candidate sourcing capabilities
  • Familiarity with using applicant tracking systems, such as Webhire
  • High comfort level with MS Office Suite
