Human Resources Generalist
Supported by 3+ years of HR Generalist experience and strong knowledge of federal and provincial employment law, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the implementation and compliance of HR standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for communication and deployment of corporate HR initiatives and should have comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
 
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing superior levels of service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal and provincial laws, company policies and procedures and CBA requirements under the direction of the Food & Beverage General Manager, Retail General Manager and Senior Human Resources Manager.
  • Coordinating/managing the administration and confidential investigation of all WCB, unemployment, harassment, Guarantee of Fair Treatment, and all other employee relations issues.
  • Performing general administrative functions including, but not limited to, employee file maintenance and legal compliance logs.
  • Conducting management/hourly training classes on a regular basis.
  • Conducting exit interviews for key personnel.
  • Assisting in the management recruiting process.
  • Managing WCB administration
  • Championing the branch safety committee and ensuring compliance with regular safety audits

 
Qualifications include:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify business issues and resolve effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Computer literacy.
  • CHRP an asset.
