The HR Specialist is responsible for implementing and complying with all Human Resource standards. This position is primarily responsible for the recruiting of hourly associates, coordination of orientation efforts, training of new hires; maintaining the PeopleSoft HRMS database for verification and analysis, personnel administration in benefits, compensation, payroll as well as TSA related regulations. Additionally, the Specialist may assist with the communication and deployment of corporate HR initiatives and shares in the accountability regarding compliance with HMSHost, State, and Federal requirements.
A successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years HR recruiting or related generalist experience with a 4-year degree in Human Resources preferred. SHRM certification is a plus. Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of recruiting, personnel administration with effective oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills are required. A high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality are mandatory. Strong knowledge of employment laws including but not limited to EEO, Affirmative Action, FMLA, TDI, Workers' Comp, ADA, E-Verify, TSA and other employee relations issues required. Proficiency with PeopleSoft HRMS and computer literacy necessary.
